Vote 100: Celebrating Women Composers (Parliament Week)

With a specially commissioned new work – ‘Lead On’ – by Lucy Pankhurst, a relative of leading suffragette Emmeline Pankhurst, and music by a diverse range of women composers we are delighted that local MP Caroline Lucas will participate as pianist and as speaker.

Featured composers include Cécile Chaminade, Ethel Smyth, Clara Schumann, Alma Schindler-Mahler, Avril Coleridge-Taylor, Shena Fraser, Augusta Holmès, Morfydd Owen and living composers Cécile Marti, Cecilia McDowall, Litha Efthymiou, composer laureate Judith Weir. And many more!
